About Us

Our club is made up of people with a broad range of skill and knowledge levels ranging from the ‘keen to learn’ novice, to the professional, all united by their love of photography.

We aim:

  • To foster a love of the art of photography.
  • Enable members to improve their ability to produce good images.
  • Help each other improve our post processing abilities
  • Learn the art of seeing.
  • Meet new people and share knowledge.
  • Have fun.

Meetings

Second Thursday of each month at 7.00pm, at Cherry Park House, Landing Road, Kerikeri.  See Map. Visitors and prospective new members are always welcome to attend. Contact our Secretary HERE.

Our members come from a large area including Coopers Beach, Kerikeri, Kaikohe, Kawakawa, Paihia, Opua, Russell, etc.

  • Presentation of work on the ‘monthly subject’ and also an ‘Open’ class with judges comments
  • Tuition and workshops -These can be by a guest speaker or one of our club members.
  • Supper and social time.
  • Field trips with car-pooling are organized during the year. We welcome ideas for places to visit. These are a fantastic way to get “on the spot” tuition from club members and get to know one another.

PSNZ

We are affiliated to the PSNZ (The Photographic Society of New Zealand) and as such receive their magazine “Camera Talk” every second month. The Society organises many competitions during the year which are popular and challenging.
